Dimvo is designed so individual manufacturing calculations can be used without an account.
Calculator inputs
Calculator inputs are processed in your browser. Fits & Tolerances inputs are saved in browser storage so they can be restored when you return. You can reset those inputs at any time. Dimvo does not receive that browser-stored data.
When you deliberately choose Copy result link, the nominal diameter and fit classes are added after the # in the copied URL. This fragment is not sent to Dimvo's server and does not create a separately indexed page, but it remains visible in your browser history, clipboard and to anyone who receives the link. Do not share confidential dimensions.
STEP analysis and free allowance
When you request an analysis, your STEP file is sent to the Dimvo analysis service for temporary processing. Dimvo does not retain the uploaded STEP file by default. A random anonymous browser ID is saved in browser storage and sent with analysis requests to enforce the free allowance. We do not use browser fingerprinting. Remaining-quota information is also cached locally for display.
The gateway stores keyed hashes of the anonymous ID, network IP and analysis action, with admission timestamps. These records enforce rolling browser and network limits. Expired records are normally removed within 25 hours; delayed cleanup can extend storage without extending your quota window. Cloudflare backup retention may preserve historical hashed records for up to 30 days. Original filenames and STEP contents are not included in these quota records.
Cloudflare Turnstile verifies analysis requests. Cloudflare processes technical challenge and network data for abuse protection; the gateway uses the request IP to validate the challenge and derive the network quota key.
Website logs and analytics
The hosting provider may process standard technical request data needed to deliver and secure the website, such as IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp. Dimvo does not send raw dimensions, tolerances, process statistics or calculator inputs as analytics events. If aggregate analytics are added later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated first.
When you email Dimvo, the message and contact details are used to answer the request and maintain necessary follow-up. The result-report link prepares a message in your own email app; nothing is sent until you send it. Do not send confidential drawings, customer data, health data or export-controlled information. Messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed for the conversation, legal obligations and security.
