Reference
Standards status
Edition and replacement information comes from official publisher pages. When Dimvo implements a bounded reference dataset, its range, source, version and review state are stated explicitly.
| Standard | Scope | Status | Use here |
|---|---|---|---|
| ISO 2768 ↗ | General tolerances | A second edition is under publication | The 1989 first edition remains the reference until the replacement is published and adopted for the drawing or contract. |
| ISO 286-1:2010 ↗ | Limits and fits — bases | Published · confirmed 2026 | The Fits & Tolerances calculator implements a bounded reference set of 40 hole classes and 37 shaft classes over 3–400 mm. Dataset and method version are shown with every result. |
| ISO 286-2:2010 ↗ | Limits and fits — deviation tables | Published · under systematic review | Dimvo does not reproduce the complete publication. Supported designations are implemented from the attributed MIT-licensed isofits 1.0 source and checked for grade-width consistency, known answers and size boundaries. |
| ISO 22081:2021 ↗ | General geometrical specifications | Published | ISO lists it as the replacement for the withdrawn ISO 2768-2:1989. |
Release rule
A named-standard reference calculation needs a recorded edition, source implementation, software licence, supported range, boundary tests and visible limitations. Contractual, regulated and safety-critical work must still be checked against the controlled standards publication.
